ASC5 / MRU list on start menu

Recommended Posts

After a sweep with ASC5 (FREE), most recently user programs (set to 5) no longer list on the start menu. Upgraded to ASC5 Pro, still won't list.

I'm assuming that I need to reset something in the registry, can anyone point me in the right direction?

System= XP Pro SP3 that is up to date

Thanks

Hi Tom

Please take a look in your Privacy Sweep settings in both places (normal/deep and auto) under the relevant Windows and Office settings.

Cheers

ASC5 / MRU list on start menu

First, Thank You! for your prompt reply.

I've tried adjusting the settings you suggested, including shutting them off completely, doesn't seem to matter.

For all appearances, the MRU program list on the start menu appears to be permanently shut off, even though I have it set to 5 programs.

The other interesting thing is this is happening only on the user from which I run ASC5, the other users on the PC are not effected.

That's why I figured there was a registry setting somewhere for this user that needed to be adjusted.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom

Perhaps some screenshots would be helpful?

Your answers suggests that you run Windows and MsOffice, but that not all others do.

Please take a new look and choose the settings that does not clean your Office MRU list.

I think that a restart of the program after the new settings is prudent.

Please try again and please go through all settings and choose only those you want.

Cheers
