Post ASC scan and fix

After running ASC scan and fix, now every one of my text, doc, and PDF files on the desk top show up with the .3 extention after the file name. What caused this and how can I reverse that?

I dont know what caused this , but you can undo any asc fix going to the rescue center.

Open ASC go to "Rescue" and then select any backup you want and click "Undo Changes"

Can you attach a screenshot of an example please?

 

What version of ASC are you using? It does not say in your user profile!

 

If ASC rescue doesn't fix, use the Windows restore function to the point just before you ran ASC and the problem occurred! :-)

keithsplace, we are sorry to hear that you encounter troubles, please take the screen shot of the trouble and use the rescue function of Advanced SystemCare.

 

No matter the rescue works or not, please let us know the result and send us the Log folder and Backup folder under the profile folder so that we can further look into the problem.
