Hi Toppack

Yes that is also true!

@ titou

Thank you! Ok I will try some of the other suggestions.

The current meaning in English of copacetic is excellent - first-rate.

But there are only theories as to the etymology.

Cheers

I thought 'copacetic' was an American Slang word used mainly during the 1940s ?

Hi Mongoose

Thank you!

Yes exactly!

Probably was a little optimistic of me trying to clear up the question in this forum :-) :-) :-)

But at least I learned a new word :-)

Cheers

copacetic

[koh-puh-set-ik, -see-tik]

Origin:

1915–20, Americanism ; of obscure origin; popular attributions of the word to Louisiana French, Italian, Hebrew, etc., lack supporting evidence
