ASC 5.2 not reacting properly + other problems. [FIXED]

Hi,

I notice today that suddenly I am no Pro user anymore, and it's not possible to give my key in because the register doesn't react. Also takes some time before it opens, no reaction and it hangs. It also takes long for the toolbox to open up.

Don't have problems with my Laptop that runs Vista. But on my win7 desktop suddenly ASC 5.2 not working properly anymore..

Hi Cicely,

ok I have installed Revo unistaller to delete ASC fully, only it didn't remove the ASC map in program files map. So I try to delete it manually but I can't get it fully removed. There is one file (ASCv5ExtMenu_64.tmp) wich is opened in windows explorer and I must close the file before I can remove it but how do I close that file??

I shall try for the moment to reinstall it now if still not work properly I can use revo again to remove and wait to see how I must close that file.

Well, after reinstalling still not better. So I removed again with Revo U. and this time it deleted everything except for what is situated in hidden maps. I deleted what was in hidden maps manually (in Programdata map, users/.../roaming/)

Then reinstall and at first it seems good, ASC opening instantly but to open the register box takes to long as well toolbox doesn't open directly.

I could give my key in but it doesn't seem to react when it's checking online control.

One other thing that seems to go together with ASC running bad is when ASC installed, my internet explorer as well reacts very slow... when just was uninstalled, it reacted as supposed. But now ASC back installed it reacts slow again. That was also last night when problems began with ASC.

Hi again,

I've the Internet Explorer problem solved; by removing IE9, at first IE8 reacted the same slow but some later it reacted normal again. I got IE9 back installed and it's no problem with. Reacts good.

Problem remains that I cannot give my key in because the register box will not react, or if it does react immediatly I can give my key in, but with the online control it hangs there.

Is there another way to upgrade to Pro user again?

I've found the troublemaken that prevented me to give my key in, or let the online control happen. It was Java!! I removed it from my computer and I could immediatly give my key in and back to pro user.

At first my IE9 reacted bad again, but doing a deep scan solved it.

Only why does toolbox takes minutes to open?

Hi Störung,

Toolbox is quite a heavy part of ASC, also being a seperate stand alone/portable software.

It should take longer than the others, but initialization time should not be measured by minutes.

Could you time it exacty and inform please.

I have a feeling that Norton has a part in that.

Cheers.

Hi eno,

I have to reinstall it again... I've just done again a full de-install via Revo. Restarting my computer and everything started over again. Back to free user, IE9 slow reacting again,... and giving my key in didn't go either again but now I don't have Java to delete anymore :p

I hope the next install will finally be good.

Hi Störung,

Please download the improved ASC.exe from http://www.wikisend.com/download/283564/ASC.exe and put it into program installation folder(Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 5). Then run ASC and measure how long the interface will take to appear. After that, please find win8.log in the program installation folder and send it to us as attachment.

Please also follow the steps below to provide us with your system information.

Open Advanced SystemCare -> click Toolbox -> Control -> click System Information -> click Export to save the information and send it to us.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Cicely,

for the moment I have removed ASC from my system again, it's a little stressing when web browser doesn't react immediatly.

I did found me some leftovers of Java just now wich I first thought was completely removed(used Iobit's uninstaller and did a power scan yesterday though), so I deleted them manually now. Maybe that caused the problem to come back after a restart of computer yesterday.

Reinstalling ASC5 will have to wait untill tomorrow or sunday. Maybe it will not be needed to use that improved file with Java totally removed from system now.(norton removes it, I'll have to close norton to download and use it if my ASC5 will cause IE9 react bad again).

If it still problems I'll send you the Sys info & win8.log But then I think I will reinstall my system again but never put Java on it anymore.

It was going very well untill I was stupid to install Java.

Greets. I'll keep you updated in the next days.

Hi again,

so I have reinstalled ASC 5.2, but it doesn't work properly. Each time I install ASC, my IE9 reacts very slow... after some work on it I get it react good again. But problem remains with ASC5, not possible to give my key in so I remain free user. Cause is that the register box always will hang or immediatly or at online check of key. When register box opens and can give key in, it also takes over 5 minutes before the register box appears on desktop.

I have also placed the improved ASC.exe in the program files map of Iobit Adv.sys care, but that only opens at startup of my computer. When I close it and try to restart ASC, it takes over 5 minutes (one count was even +7 minutes) before it appears on my desktop and the last try I only got a complete grey box of ASC5, no text was to read in it.

I think I am just going to clean install my windows 7 again as soon as I have time for it. Though I made a disc copy after my install last weekend with Acronis Trueimage, might first try put that back.

@Cicely, if there is any files or information if you want to have a view in the problem. You don't really have to search for a solution because I am going to reinstall windows or put the disc image back of right after install. Normally ASC should run good, it also ran good untill little after I installed Java.

Any idea maybe what can Java have caused to ASC to not work propperly anymore. Even after Java is gone from my system; it remains same problem.

btw have also done a full virusscan and was clean.

Regards

Hi Störung,

We have tested ASC 5.2, IE 9, and Java on a computer with the same operating system as yours. But we didn't encounter such issues.

Please post back and let us know how ASC 5.2 works after re-installing Windows.

Hi Cicely,

this is totally weird!!! Yesterday evening I clean installed Windows7 again (it was only a weekend ago I also did clean Win7 install ;p)

After updating windows, I installed other software & Iobit ASC5.2 and to my surprise it just does exact the same!!

When I start up my computer, ASC loads in the system tray, I can open it via there.. the box appears maybe 5-10 seconds.. no problem with doing the quick and deep scan, but to open Toolbox, Turbo enhancer & the register box keeps problematic and needs at least several minutes to over 5 minutes before it appears on desktop. No way it seems possible to register my key because the online check will always hang.

In the passed days, it was possible to enter the key and register it just once, and that was right after I removed Java from my system. IE9 was good immediatly after also but the next restart of my computer brought it all back and since I haven't succeeded giving my key in.

I'm tying to make a system report now but that doesn't seem to work either. It's collecting information but it takes way too long, not seem to finnish with collecting information, not hangs because I can just close it.

I've not really an idea what I have to do now :p I can't find the Win8.log file either now in Iobits map.

Must I use Revo and try install 5.1 to see if I can register that, and update after?

To give some more information wich I just noticed.. Besides IE9 reacting slow (it reacts better after a scan & repair) windows media player also hangs with startup. I also have a feeling some settings keep resetting after each boot. And after removing ASC everything goes normal again.

How can this actually as I only the weekend before last also did a clean win7 install and my system was super then, no problems with Iobit software or any other untill I installed Java. Even now a clean win7 reinstall doesn't help? And I've Iobit software installed also on my laptop wich runs Vista 32-bit, no problems there, toolbox opens 5 seconds. (Java is even installed on it)

Hi Störung,

Sorry to hear that.

Please send Hardware configuration of your computer and IObit_Helper_Info.txt to us as attachment so that we can try to reproduce the issue.

Download InfoCollect.exe from the link below and open it, then it will generate the IObit_Helper_Info.txt.

http://www.wikisend.com/download/351456/InfoCollect.exe

Thank you.

Hi,

I think the problem might have been solved now, though I'm not really sure about it.

Deep scan noted a hard disk error (wonder why the previous scans it didn't noted a disk error) The repair said to reboot to fix the problem so I rebooted and it started a CHCKDSK. After that, ASC opened up immediatly, Register box opened immediatly and registred my key again to Pro user!! Toolbox opens instantly now. The only thing was IE9 and WMP troubled again. Then I rebooted again to see if I would still be Pro user or again be set back to free user and I am still Pro user. IE9 reacts instantly, WMP doesn't hang anymore at lauch.

I've included the Iobit helper info but I don't know how to add a Hardware configuration to you. I made a hardware report with Aida64 but the txt is too big to attach. I could make a system report via Iobits toolbox also again but it's html and cannot attach inhere.

IObit_Helper_Info.txt
