Registry Defrag fails to defrag 2 areas

When I run the registry defrag, both C:\Windows\System32\config\DEFAULT and C:\Windows\System32\config\SOFTWARE fail to defrag. This issue has happened on all my laptops (3) in the past few months.

 

What can I do?

Have you tried the boot defrag (of also system files) in the SmartDefrag program?

The defragmentation settings in ASC isn't as versatile as in the SmartDefrag program.

I use Smart Defrag boot time defrag set to every 7 day first boot. So should I just turn off the registry defrag option in ASC and use boot time defrag instead? Also, does boot time defrag work on a laptop with an SSD?
