browser homepage hijacked after installing

how do I get rid of the v9.com homepage in internet explorer and firefox. I tried everything

I installed game booster on another computer and I saw there was a checkbox that I hadn't seen that asks if I want v9.com homepage. Well, I don't

Sounds to me like you have a home page hijacker. That has nothing to do with Game Booster. Your anti-virus should remove it.

Have you tried to change your home page to what you want then go into your browser settings and set it to use your current page as your home page?

it is related to game booster as it is a checkbox in the installation process that I missed the first time

 

also, the exact start page URL is

http://www.v9.com/?utm_source=b&utm_medium=iob&from=iob&go=1

 

so you see they've even added an analytics campaign tag in there which is "iob" which stands for iobit

Someone from IOBIT will need to help with this one.

I have installed many versions of GB and I have not seen an option to change the home page. I do agree that they sometimes bundle other software in a somewhat deceiving way. I have seen nothing relating to home page changing (especially one that cannot be changed back).

If I had to guess, I don't think this is IOBIT related.
