run time for Malware fighter pro

my smart scan has been running now, for 22+ hours and has only scanned 264

items. is this a regular time or is my IMF defective. it last updated 4/27/12:?:

This not normal at all.

 

It seems that you have more than 1 Antivirus software MSE and AVG, please uninstall one of them.

 

Also, try scanning when real time protection of the AV is temporarily turned off and see if the scanning oh malwares by IMF is better.

Is the version of IMF 1.3 with the latest definitions version of 1126?

it is 1.3.0.3 but i can't find the definition version. will dump AVG as it can't seem to do anything but alert on things that ar not an issue.

Definition version is there at the bottom when you open the Scan section of the main GUI. Latest as of today is 1127.

 

IMF is not an Antivirus software so, it is strongly advised to use it accompanied by a A/V software. So if you dump AVG, choose another antivirus software.

 

You can try Advanced SystemCare with Antivirus 2012 Beta 1.0 for that purpose if you feel OK knowing the concequences of a Beta software.

 

You have not given any feedback about the time of scan of IMF yet though.
