ASC delete my protected cookies

I bought Advanced System Care 5.3 which I am extremely happy with.

However it removes all cookies on my computer, so I can't automatically login to websites, though I've added them to the list for conservation.

Is it a bug in the program or do I something wrong?

Thank you in advance.

Hej Rene

Please try checking your (Privatlivs Rensning) Privacy if you have the cookies unticked there.

And remember that you in the cookies window can click "Bevar cookies from secure sites".

Cheers

p.s. When attaching a screenshot it is a good idea to first change the interface to English in order for as many as possible to undertand what the screenshot says

Hi ReneM,

Please follow the steps below to send the Log folder to us so that we can look into it.

Press Windows + R key => type %appdata% in the blank => open IObit folder => open Advanced SystemCare V5 folder => find the Log folder.

You can send the folder as attachment or send it to support@iobit.com.

Hi Cicely

I've now uploaded my Log folder.

Hope it's useful.

However, please note that I currently have disabled cookies in all locations in the program to avoid problems.

Hi ReneM

Our specialists didn't find any issues in the log file. Please let us know which cookies you kept have been deleted.

If you can't remember it, please find the file ingore.ini in %appdata%\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V5 and send it to us.

Hi Cicely

I have attached the complete list of the cookies I want to keep together with a fresh copy of the log file.

The problem relates to Firefox - not IE.

The moment I put a checkmark next to Delete Cookies in Firefox, then ASC deletes ALL - even those I have protected from deletion and want to keep.

However, it is NOT written in the log - it just removes everything.

Likewise if I run 'Internet Booster', it destroy Firefox completely and Firefox must be reinstalled.

I have tested the ASC on another machine and there are the problems exactly the same.

These errors should be easily verifiable.

Hi Rene

In the screenshot you sent firefox cookies are set to be cleaned.

And I have since found out that you need an addon application in Firefox to create a whitelist or a blacklist in that browser. Could that be the problem?

Cheers

solbjerg

Hi

I just wanted to mention MozBackup for FireFox in case you don't know it.

It has saved me a few times and will backup and restore almost everything including your cookies

It allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, passwords, cache etc. It's an easy way to do Firefox backup, Thunderbird backup ...

All the best, woz of oz

Hi solbjerg

I have tried all settings in Firefox. A couple of them I have made screenshoots of. Please see the Attachments.

I do not think we should spend more time on this problem here and now :?

I just use the free program CCleaner to do a perfect job in this regard. Removes all the unwanted cookies, and retain the ones I have chosen to protect against deletion.

I just need to get used to using two programs instead of one.
