I just tried downloading the file from MajorGeeks, Avast blocked it claiming its got malware.
-
I have installed the latest version of Uninstaller, and my Avast wants to quarantine the file ICONPN64.exe saying it is infected with IDP.Generic. Is this a false positive? I downloaded the file from the IOBit site.

Then it is most likely a false positive, as that file is from the Majorgeeks site, and that is a recognised clean site.

Thank you very much for choosing iObit.
We have contacted Avast for this detection, hoping they can reanalyze the file and remove the detection very soon. At the same time, our product team also want to deal with this detection on our end.
We hope the good news comes soon.
Thanks for the assistance, I have installed the new version of Smart Defrag.

Sorry for hijacking another's topic. I wasn't trying to, I thought it was the actual topic.

I have tried installing the latest update for Smart Defrag free once it finishes downloading. Avast keeps identifying the file as some kind of Malware

I tried updating Uninstaller to the latest version using the Software update, it failed. My avast came up and said that IOBit has been blacklisted.

I added an exemption for the install file and it is now installed. Thanks for the help.
