Launching Razer Game Booster Boost without a game

Hey ive found a work around to get RGB to boost the system without running a game, like GB3 could. Actually i never used GB3 so cant compare it, but seen complaints about this missing ability, and figured how to work around it randomly experimenting

 

Turns out, RGB can be made to see any (or most) exe programs as a game, and will keep the boost going as long as that programs running.

 

Example:

Start RGB and press the Add button, browse to C:\Windows\system32\notepad.exe which is the vanilla Notepad program for windows.

 

press the RGB Launch button (or right click the 'notepad.exe' to choose launch)

 

press Alt+F12 to restore the desktop windows and tabs. Itll show the message "the game is still running after exiting game desktop" press Ok and its setup

 

when you wanto exit boost mode, just close that instance of notepad or other program.

 

And the non game programs added to the RGB profiles has to be opened from the Launch button or right click launch option for it to trigger the boost, so if it can open multiple instances like notepad, you can open (and close) another notepad the regular way without affecting the boosted one
