False Notice from Windows 8 for Windows 8.1 install availability in Store

Mostly just to update some Metro apps and check around in the Windows Store to see if W8.1 is showing up yet on that computer. That is another problem alltogether.:-)

For the information of the users, I do wait for one of my laptops with Windows 8 for windows 8.1 update availability like you.

 

Today, for the first time I had a notice as a large band on the desktop informing to go to Stores to install Windows 8.1, but it was a false notice. No Win 8.1 availability for my Windows 8 pro yet.:evil:

Possibly a trojan? I can't see this anywhere yet. It could also be nice if screen shots were included here.

I don't think it was a Trojan or any other form of malware, but a bug in the transition period from W8 to W8.1.

 

Certainly if I see it again I will have a screenshot, but it was a natural, normal Metro information band so I could not have guessed that it was a bug or whatever.
