Iobit Malware Fighter...Explain "Discard" versus "Repair" Buttons

Thread title says it all. Please clarify what each of these buttons does.

Hi Border24, welcome to IObit Forum! :-D

 

When you click Discard button, IMF will skip to delete/quarantine the concerned file, but when you click Repair button, IMF will delete the file or put it in the Quarantine list according to your choice in the Settings.

 

In your next Scan, the Discarded file will be found again, but Repaired (Deleted/Quarantined) file will not be found.

 

You can not find the deleted file, but quarantined file is in Quarantine List.

 

You can keep the quarantined file in Quarantine List, you can Delete it, or you can Restore it to it's original location.

Yes Border24, you are correct, discarded file will neither be deleted nor be quarantined, but skipped/ignored for that one time current specific scan/repair.
