Unable to activate Homepage Protection

Hi there. First time poster and user of ASC

 

I have the Pro version (7.1) which I installed a couple of days ago.

I am trying to activate the Homepage Protection part.

 

The activation window opens, showing that HPP is off for IE, Chrome and Firefox, but when I mouse over to click on one of them to turn it on, I get the mouse icon with a spinning circle next to it (like something is loading).

 

I have left it for 10 minutes thinking it was something the program wanted loaded, but it just kept going.

 

I tried disabling all other software, including my virus detector with no joy.

 

Should I just remove ASC and reinstall from scratch?
