I thought I had better say Hello to you all. I have had problems with my 'puter for a while now. A friend from my frappr recomended this site to me. I told her that a pop-up came out of the blue recomending me to download (FREE)/scan/register WinError Fixer 2007 $39+ I looked up WinError to see if it was a scam or not. However, I tried IObit on her recomendation...IT'S FAST. But I did have a freeze(?)program not responding on clearing out some files. I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw when it comes to PC maintenance  , so if there are any pointers I could use, I hope I'm in the right place  .

Incidentally, some of my problems started after I downloaded Firefox. I use both IE & Firefox. Should I get rid of one or the other, or both & try Opera (Is that the right word?)?

Thank you for reading.

Hello cliveanne,

Next time please post to the relevant General disscussions, which is Advanced WindowsCare 2 in this case.

You will get quicker response and others with similar questions will benefit too.

- The Screenshot can be seen from the link you have given.

- Green shaded areas are the known programs in "Sysinfo.org" database. The advice is given in rating column for what to do with this startup program.

The others are not in the database, and user has to decide whether to keep it in startup or not.

If you really want to start that program, click on it and choose "Add to Ignore List" button on the left, or right click on it and choose "Add to Ignore List" option on the menu.

Next time it will be in green shaded area.

If you don't do anything, AWC will not change anything in startup.

You can use disable button on the left if you don't want certain program not to start when you start Windows.

Please take advice if you choose to "Delete Entry", because you may not start that program any more when the Windows start.

- It seems from your screenshot that too many programs are starting with the Windows, try to stop some of them from loading in start of Windows, if you really do not need them every time.

- Coming to your first post, please go to post:

http://www.iobit.com/Forum/showthread.php?p=1189#post1189

and follow Clayton's advice for your case also.

- Use the latest versions of AWC in Tim's post:

http://www.iobit.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=152

- Use the latest version of ISD in IObit Guy's post:

http://www.iobit.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=183

Cheers.

This may be of some use to you

Hello cliveanne,

For adware removal try ad-aware from lavavsoft, it's free, also use AVG anti-Virus, ZoneAlarm Firewall, Ccleaner and more that I could prattle on about.

However, without wasting too much time visit my blog which is being continually updated with free programs to help protect your privacy and security online.

The Programs listed are used by millions and well trusted, and as mentioned there is no charge, and I have been using them for a considerable time now and would highly recommened them for their ease of use. Links to these are included in my posts. If something isn't clear or you want more information please leave a comment and I will get back to you asap.

Best regards
