IObit Uninstaller for Windows Server?

Recommended Posts

Hey all -

I've been combing around the internet for information about uninstallers, and it seems like the general consensus is that IObit makes the best uninstaller software of all of them so far. I was wondering if you guys had any experience running IObit Uninstaller in a Windows Server environment. We're in the process of standing up a new Remote Desktop Services server running on Windows Server 2019 Standard x64 to replace our old Terminal Services server running Windows Server 2008 R2. I realize that there is going to be SOME cruft with a 10+ year old server, no matter what we do, but I figure if we got this one off on the right foot, we'd be in better shape over the long-haul.

For the most part we use Linux servers, but users understand and expect things like Microsoft Office, etc, so we HAVE to have some Windows in our environment - and Windows gets cancer. We figure a steady treatment of IObit might make that server more reliable for us over the long-term.

So I was wondering if you guys had any experience working with Windows Server. At its core, Server 2019 is basically just Windows 10 build 1809, but there are some differences, and I thought I'd pick your brains.

So far, this seems to work pretty well. We're running IObit Uninstaller 11.3 on Windows Server 2019 Standard x64 (which is analagous to Windows 10 Version 1809), and it works pretty nice. It WOULD be pretty nice if this thing could monitor .msi file installation, as that's a gap in our coverage to keep this server neat and tidy.
