Protected Folder V1.3 no longer working?

Been using this great program for over a year. Started using another USB and add and lock file / folders in the same way I always have. Everything looks good. Says files added and locked. But everything still visible and can access or open any file normally when locked. Appreciate any help or something I can try. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the program again. Is still the same

I have since found out it is the USB itself. I can lock / unlock programs on my desktop but not on the USB drive itself. Is there something on the USB drive attributes etc I need to change?
