Not working anymore

After upgrading from Beta 3 to Beta 4 and switching to Gaming mode, i chose a couple applications to close down. However what it did was close those applications and clean my RAM and nothing else. It did nothing to stop the services it claimed to... Could anybody clarify on this? I might have to do a clean install.

Did you check all the services in the list?

Here, there is no problem on XP Pro, Vista Ultimate and Windows7 Ultimate.
