AWC 2.4.1.790 continually crashes

Hi,

 

Sorry if this newbie input is not technical enough.

 

Every time I run a Scan with AWC version 2.4.1.790 and then try to implement the Security Defence Settings for Website Defence the program just hangs.

 

At the moment this shows 1542 of 1570 Items are protected.

 

The program hangs whether I use Apply Settings at the level of Website Defence or at the Repair front screen level.

 

The thing is that the Security Defence options for Infection Defence and Cookie Defence work but not Website Defence.

 

There is no Errorlog and I have to kill the program with Task Manager that reports it as Not Responding.

 

Help.

System is WinXP Pro SP2 with a bunch of security programs Free and Purchased.

1) Try to disable all the other security softwares when you are off-line and try only Security Defence repair.

2) Try to check 28 items manually.

3) Other security software (SS&D, McAfee, Ad-Aware, etc.)may have locked your "hosts file". Try to unlock it from respective program.
