360 and Windows XP desk top

Hi all

First time on here so be gentle :-D

I'm not a computer buff, so any replies will have to be kept simple!

 

Loaded 360 V1.1.beta a week ago and it seems to work well. However every time I power up the PC Windows XP home SP2 loads correctly but instead of the desk top showing initially the 'My Documents' page loads and when the close programme cross is clicked on (Red box with white cross) the desk top then appears.

Any ideas on how to prevent the My Doc file from loading at start up?

hey hey here is as simple as i can make it.

 

To Stop Windows Explorer from opening My Documents check your settings by clicking Start, click Run and type Regedit.

 

Within Regedit go to

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

 

In the right pane under Userinit - Change the key that reads:

 

C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe,C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe

To:

C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe,

 

It should work fine. If not please let me know.
