Found a bug with the new beta 1.1 Security 360, I cannot open my encrypted files.

Am using the free AXON DATA AxCrypt 1.6.4.4 and I keep getting errors.

One time, the 360 program came up with a warning and I choosed ALLOW ALWAYS and I was able to open the file.

Printed and save in another drive just in case. Sure enough, it stopped working again the next time I tried to use it.

 

I was getting this error:

Decrypt and launch of into.txt.axx' failed,

Error in system call to

CRegistry::SetDword() [RegSetValueEx()],

The handle is invalid.

 

Found a temporary solution is to open 360 and turn off the Real Time Protection and now my encryption program works just fine.

Just have to remember to turn it back on...

 

Actually, found out its just the Advance Protection Against Unknown Threats that needs to be turned off.
