The last system optimazation by Smart Defrag, in rearranging data, I think, "took" the drive D system location. Drive D will no longer play a disk. I can hear the drive begin but it never plays.

In the "Computer Management" controls under the DVD/CD-ROM Drives

I get the following response: Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41).

 

Now I cannot back-up anything on a CD-R.
