Problem Perhaps

I have installed (and uninstalled) about 3 times. And I cannot seem to get this software to run - I am convinced I have something wrong with my laptop hence the reason for trying ASC.

 

But every time I click on the desktop icon to launch I get the following message:

 

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item"

 

I am running Windows XP on a laptop. If it helps my AVG has stopped scanning also....any help would be appreciated.

Hi Hemlock,

 

You have to run ASC as an Administrator.

 

You may have restricted rights as a user.
