DUAL BOOT: XP & VISTA, different behaviour

i am using iobit v1.01, and i have it on my dell laptop which is dual-booted for XP and VISTA.

when i installed the 'free' version of iobit on XP, pressed a bunch of buttons, and watched what happened, i got to a spot where it told me there were 41 security patches for XP - did i want them (but of course) - so great, off it went and patched me up.

i tried the same set of 'knowledgeable' button pushing on VISTA, but it never did that patch repair exercise. is it possible that iobit executes differently in XP vs. VISTA? or is it more simple - and i missed one of the buttons during the VISTA exercise?

as you can see, this is great product - i just haven't learned to use it yet.

thanks, ron
