Buttons: "Recommended" & "OK"

Suggestion for SmartDefrag:

The "Recommended" button on the Auto Defrag page should not be in the same physical location as the "OK" button is located on the Options page.

Hi compupix,

 

There is an Apply button next to Cancel button on the Auto Defrag Page.

When you click the Apply button, all the changes made in that page is OKeyed automatically.:-D

Auto Buttons vs. Option's Buttons

 

On the Auto Defrag page, there are three buttons, in this order:

Recommended, Cancel, & Apply

Apply is shaded to be barely visible (since I have not made any changes)

 

On the Options page, there are three buttons in the same locations as the buttons on the Auto Defrag page. They are in this order:

OK, Cancel, & Apply

Apply is shaded to be barely visible (since I have not made any changes)

 

My issue is that the first button on each of these pages have completely different functions.

"Recommended" vs. "OK"

This is not a good human factors design.
