why did it delete my windows password?

After a year or so of using the free version, yesterday i upgraded to the pro version of ASC and IsobitSecurity 360 and did a full scan etc.

 

Then today i discovered that it had somehow deleted my windows password so i cdn't log on. After an hour or so and with some friendly assistance from a colleague, we managed to get back in via an admin account and reset my profile. However, now I am concerned about running these new bits of software since I don't know which setting to change to prevent them messing up my user profile again.

 

can anyone tell me why it did what it did, and how to stop it doing it again?

Both Advanced SystemCare 3 and IObit Security 360 can not delete the windows password. It must be caused by other reasons.

ok. but something weird happened and the only difference in what i was doing was the new software. I will keep my fingers crossed and see how i get on.

Only Windows can delete the password.
