Hello lily2000,

I already mentioned all the details over here: http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=6871

Back then I was using the Windows Classic theme, but I'm now using the default Windows 7 theme and this error still occurs.

V1.50

does not close the my explorer.exe :!:

fix the bug

Dear Dreyk,

The explorer.exe is not recommended to be closed. Shortcut, Start Menu, Task Bar will disappear and some unpredictable errors may happen.

Cheers.

It indeed does happen every time I run Game Booster.

This is what I just now did:

1. Completely removed Game Booster 1.51 using IObit Uinstaller v1.1 + the "Powerful Scan".

2. Double checked if "C:\Program Files\IObit\Game Booster\" still excisted and it didn't.

3. Installed Game Booster v1.51 again.

4. Made these screenshots for further investigation:

Let me know if you got more questions, I would be happy to answer them since I would like to see this fixed. Thank you for your time.

Edit:

Noticed that the buttons appear when I change the language (doesn't mater to which). But they are gone again when I switch to the 'Game Defrag' tab, when I restart Game Booster or when I run the Gaming Mode. Uploaded a screenshot:

The problem with the interface has been reported a few times before. As far as I remember, they went unresolved.

It appears that something is causing this for some users.

I think the Dev team needs to take a look at this. Of course, none of this is an issue once 2.0 comes out.

Look at these threads.

1.51 seems to have solved the "not remembering" problem, though it introduced a new one... sidebar.exe doesn't restart after turning off Gaming mode.

FYI,

In the new version GB 1.51 together with solving remembering problem, adding processes/programs to GameBooster.ini file for controlling them is added again.

In my Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, after stopping sidebar with Gaming Mode, returning to Normal Mode starts the Sidebar.

Cheers.

Not the case with my Windows Vista 64 bit though.
