smartdefrag 3.1 will NOT uninstall

smartdefrag 3.1 will NOT uninstall when I tried to uninstall it it give me this pop up:???:

file "c:/programfiled/IObitsmartdefrag/unins000.dat" does not exist cannot uninstall

 

so i went to program files explored iobit folder to see if i could find and theres not a .dat but theres a uninstall.exe i dont know if that means anything i tried to uninstall from add/remove prog, all programs from strat menu and tried install the 4.1 thinking it might fix but when it tried to unistall it before it installed 4.1 it gave me same msg so i cancelled install of 4.1

so Please help I find this rather frustrating :x

Use Windows System Restore Recovery and apply the prosedure in the thread.

ummmm ok i followed directions but I dont quite understand the last part sorry I dont understand where i use it to uninstall

It is advisable to read this and this posts of solbjerg, it is similar in ISD.

For stubborn non uninstallations, you can use the uninstaller here .

Please don't forget to clean the registry. You can use IObit's Beta from here .
