How to get back to earlier version?

I have been having problems with Smart Defrag ever since downloading Beta 4.03. I sent a forum question about a week ago regarding the error message I get -- "Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library -- Debug Assertion Failed" -- but have gotten no responses. I have also been sending error message responses to IOBit but no response there either.

Could someone please tell me how I might download the old, tried and true version 4.01 that worked well for me?? It's unusual, isn't it for a Beta version to be the only download available for a program?? I thought that Beta's were test versions for some to try -- not the only version available! :-(

Hi John R,

If you really want to have ISD Beta 4.01, you can find it on this link and download.

IObit SmartDefrag is in its Beta phase since the beginning.

IObit is still working on the bugs, and that is why it is still a Beta.

Have you written to support@iobit.com ?

You may not get a timely response but it is going to be read for sure.

PS.

Your problem might be because of the unstable ISD.

Are you using Visual Studio?

I am not sure, but your error may also be related to that:

"Development or migration of an MFC application with ActiveX controls in Visual Studio."

Cheers.

How to Get Back...

Thanks for the 4.01 link, enoskype!

No, I am not to my knowledge running Visual Studio. I'll just go back to the version that ran OK for me.

And yes, I did write to Iobit Support, and have also been sending them the bug reports as they come up.

John R.
