Problems uninstalling Protected Folder

Hi all, i recently downloaded protected folder (free). After uninstalling protected folder every time i tried to access internet explorer i kept recieving error message explorer cannot display webpage with a box C:\system32\rundll32.exe. Uninstalling this program was the only change made to my pc and i was on the internet previous to the uninstall. I had to system restore to fix the issue and am a bit weary of trying to uninstall again, anyone else had this problem??
