License on upgraded version?

I bought ASC3 last year, and a month or so ago, got an e-mail telling me that a free upgrade to ASC4 was available. My ASC3 license key worked for this.

 

My ASC3 license has just come to its last month. Will my renewal key work, or do I need to get an ASC4 license? (The renewal e-mail specifies ASC3, which is why I'm asking.)
