keeps scanning (constantly) a removable drive that is not there, tells me it is safe now, then the window slides away only to pop back to tell me a removable disk has been scanned. wash rinse repeat. been doing this nonstop for 8 hours

Please give us more information about that non existant removable drive which IMF scans constantly.

 

Screenshots will be useful to examine the glitch. How about the other security softwares?
