AWC pro 2.7.2 System restore won't work

Just downloaded and installed latest version. Tells me to run system backup first. But I get message telling me to enable restore service first. I can't see how. When I go into Restore center I get message telling me to restart my PC first. I do that but it still doesn't work. I uninstalled & reinstalled. Still the same. Went into Windows Administration services, tried to start Restore operation manually got internal windows error message 1394. I am using Kaspersky AntiVirus & Windows defender 2 in background, on XP (SP2) home. Any ideas?? I won't run scan & repair before I can set a restore point that I can access.

Hi TonFin,

Try command prompt chkdsk /F .

You can also try to use Dial-a-fix v0.60.0.24 (2006-10-27) from here to repair System Restore.

Click the button with hammer figure on it, click Reinstall System Restore , ang click GO button.

Note:

Please read the comment at the bottom pane of the program before clicking GO button.

You might be prompted for your Windows installation media.

Attention:

Please, also read this page before using this powerful tool.
