Defrag & Fast Optimize?

Quick question. I am running SD 2.0.1 on XP. My 140 GB drive has only 11GB free. Would I benefit at all from defrag & fast optimize? Any guess on how long the process might take? Should I turn off anti-virus (security essentials)?

Please use the most recent Smart Defrag 2.1 downloadable from Smart Defrag 2.1 is available! .

 

First use Only Defrag.

 

10% of the total disk space should be empty for a proper defrag to be done.

 

The process may take quite a bit, since the disk is too full for proper defragmentation.

 

You can try and see the benefit if Fast Defrag & Optimize runs normally.

 

It is advisable to exit all security softwares and also disconnect from Internet in that time.
