GUI unresponsive, but not locked up

Hi. I have been enjoying using Smart Defrag immensely and I have noticed the performance gains from using it, and and up until now, it had been working flawlessly. I have not changed any software on the computer and have had no other issues or problems. The GUI loads, and sometimes the buttons are responding; if and when I can get it to start the defrag process, it just freezes up, but i can still exit the program without freezing/locking up.

I uninstalled the application and re-installed it, too, to no avail.

 

PS (my 'web of trust' plug in gives me a warning 'this site has a poor reputation' - but i think i trust you guys, i was very pleased with smart Defrag, and your other applications look appealing to me, tho i have yet to try them)
