    Hi Roger,

Our experts notice that those drivers left are in the folder windows/system32/drivers, and deleting those drivers may cause system issues. For now, IObit Uninstaller will not monitor and delete these drivers.

We will further optimize this in our later version.

    Thanks,

Our experts notice that those drivers left are in the folder windows/system32/drivers, and deleting those drivers may cause system issues. For now, IObit Uninstaller will not monitor and delete these drivers.

We will further optimize this in our later version.

It uses its own driver zamguard64.sys. This should be delete as it belongs to Zemana and the driver is still loaded from the registry at Windows startup. This issue has been fixed with v3 of Zemana, but is a problem with old versions.

The second issue I mentioned, is that the installation needs to monitored manually.

Another bug is that the the installation of Zillya Antivirus does not get properly monitored. Only about ten registry keys and no files get logged. This is its website. https://zillya.com/zillya-antivirus

Also I have a few suggestions.

Add a monitor option to the Windows Explorer context menu, so that you right click on an installer and monitor its installation

Add monitoring for .msi files, as. in rare occasions, installers have a .msi extension and not .exe.

  2. I like the new interface, but I don't like that UpToDate drivers, are now shown along with outdated drivers. It was much better in previous versions as by including the updated drivers, means that there is too much information shown.

It would be a good idea, if game components that are not installed, are not included in the outdated drivers count. If a game component is not installed, it's probably something the user doesn't need, so it would be better if it is not included in the count, so that when all the driver updates and updates for game components are installed, Driver Booster, will correctly show that there are no more driver update available. I like that a change was made recently, so that instead of every game component being selected after a scan, now only the outdated ones are selected.

I have a number of computers to test this on and then I will provide more feedback.

    Hi roger_m

Thank you very much for your feedback. However, the remaining time is estimated according to the situation, such as the size of the fragmentations, the size of the file being moved. It is very normal that the time is changing in the progress of defragment.

I understand that, but surely it can be made somewhat more accurate. For example the shown remaining time may be about a minute, then it jumps up to several minutes and in a few minutes may increase again.

  4. A couple of suggestions:

The reamining time shown is very inaccurate and could be improved.

In soem cases a driver will not be able to defragmented effectivey due limited free space, leaving the driver sill heavily fragmented after running Smat Defrag. It would be helpful if Smart Defrag could give a notification that there was not enough free space, so it is clear that this is cause for drive not being defragged fully, rather than the user possibly thinking that Smart Defrag isn't working properly.

  5. My suggestions:

The Driver Booster database still needs expanding. What would help a lot would be that for any device with a missing driver which Driver Booster has no driver for, Driver Booster would upload the device details to its servers, so that IObit can see what devices are not supported, and then hopefully add these drivers to its database. Perhaps, it could show devices for which there is no driver in the scan results, in a seperate section for pending driver updates.

The Fix Device Error option is currently very limited, and often devices with errors are not detected by it., and it will say no Error codes detected. It would be good if more problems can be fixed by it.

Have the option to install diffferent veriosns of a driver. When installing drivers for a USB wifi adapter on a Vista computer, with Driver Booster, it caused a BSOD. The same happened when using Driver Talent (Drive The Life), but I was able to install a compatible driver by selecting a different version of the driver in Driver Talent, and this driver installed with any problems.

  6. I have found a serious bug in the latest version of ASC. Startup Accelerate is flagging some valid startup items and services as being invalid and wants to remove them.

    Examples:

    rundll32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\TP\Utils\PM64.DLL",PwrMgr

This is a valid startup entry as the dll file PM64 does exist in C:\Program Files (x86)\TP\Utils

    Service Example:

    ThinkPad Logging Service

    ImagePath System32\TPHD.exe

The ThinkPad Logging Service is a valid one, as TPHD.exe exists in C:\Windows\System32. Maybe it is getting flagged becuase is in the registry as System32\TPHD.exe instead of C:\Windows\system32\TPHD.exe

  7. I like the beta a lot, here are just a few ideas:

The accuracy of the registry cleaner has improved a lot, and does not appear to have issues with false positive any more, which is great. However the UI has not changed, and it still does not show clear information on each error found, which is huge oversight.

Network optimization does not work properly. Once the recommended tweaks have been applied, if you select a different type of internet connection, no different tweaks are suggested. The tweaks should be different depending on the type of network connection chosen.

The Auto RAM Clean is a useful function, but in previous versions there was Active Optimize which I thought did more than just clean RAM, e.g. lower the priority of tasks with high CPU usage. Maybe I'm wrong, and just the name has been changed to reflect what it really does. Some clarification about this would be welcome.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

  8. I have installed Beta 2 on a two laptops so far, and I really like it. It's good to see the product improving. However, it still suffers from the same issue with the registry cleaner as in previous versions, and as a result, while I'll use it myself (and be sure to never use the registry cleaner), I will still be recommending that others do not use it, as it may be unsafe.

  9. Cicely that is not the case at all. I just did an ActiveX and Class scan, and do give one example, one of the detected invalid registry keys, is showing a "Regeistry Value" (a spelling error in the UI) of N/A. However, this is not the case. When selecting Open in RegEdit there is data there - it is not an empty registry key.

This is a serious problem that needs to be fixed.

  10. Some more suggestions:

Include Startup Optimization and Deep Optimization scans from the Startup Manager, and General Fix from Win Fix in the regular scans.

Include Software Updater in the regular scans.

Include driver updates in the regular scans.

There is an issue with the Disk Scan where sometimes errors are detected when there are no errors on the drive, which hopefully can be fixed. This may be due to a known issue with chkdsk where it can incorrectly find errors when run in scan only mode.

    That's all for now.
