  1. No Prob. That would be MSE....MSS usually means Symantec's Managed Security Services. In your Security Essentials you should have an ignore list. If you enter ASC into the ignore list, it should stop MSE from requesting a scan as it will ignore ASC.
  2. Please clarify,,,what do you mean by MSS. It can mean a lot of different things. I am presuming it is your security system.
  3. Purewitz, It does not require a licence as it is a Beta version and all functions are active the same as if it were the Pro/paid version. Your licence will only be necessary once the Final version is released, and then your licence will work fine.

  5. Actually, it does not happen every time I disconnect the main power. So it is obviously an intermittent thing. I do not see it as a serious problem, and I posted it because it happened while I was testing Fam10's icon problem with the SD icon disappearing when mains is disconnected. I am now of the opinion that it is something that may happen under specific circumstances which would be impossible to duplicate, and is probably windows power management having a hiccup. So, I do not think it is something that Iobit needs to rush to investigate, but it is no harm for them to be aware of it.
  6. Program Instability when changing from Mains to Battery I have noticed that if you disconnect the main power lead, (run on battery) that the Performance Monitor disappears. If you reconnect the main power, the PM does not return, However if you open settings in the ASC GUI, and untick then re-tick Performance in General Settings, then apply, the Pm will return. This is something which Iobit need to investigate, as I do not think it is only associated with the PM, but may also affect other functions. I will also send this info to Iobit feedback.

  11. Enoskype Yes, I have been following that thread since beginning, with great amusement. However I honestly think the ASC Ultimate thread should just be removed until such time as the Beta is actually available. It is just unnecessary confusion for the members...:?

  13. You mention that Advanced SystemCare Ultimate will be available soon.. but you do not mention the Beta version ecept to say feedback is welcomed. So, is the Beta available now and is there a download link. TIA EDIT: itobe has mentioned the Beta in the thread and post titles. :smile: Beta is not available for public yet, so there is no download link.

  15. Iobit Feedback Cicely Thank you for your reply. It is appreciated and it makes a difference to the forum users to know that their suggestions are being noted. I have also been sending these items directly to Iobit Fedback at the email address which you highlighted. I am very impressed in that Iobit has replied to each item within a day or two. They have already confirmed that they will resolve the PM issue in the next issue. Again I appreciate your feedback.
  16. Iobit Feedback I wonder if Iobit are actually taking note of the posts in this thread. I have not seen any feedback for a while. Maybe a new v6 Beta 2 Feedback thread needs to be opened, for problem/bug feedback, rather than the suggestion thread.
  17. That does not solve the problem unfortunately. If you uninstall v6 Beta 2, and reinstall 5.4 again it will still say your licence is invalid, because it removed all the registration info when it uninstalled 5.4 the first time. As I have already said. I think this is going to create a real headache for Iobit when v6 final launches, as well as making people very wary and nervous of Beta testing, I really cannot understand why it was necessary to remove 5.4 in order to install v6 Beta 2, when it was not necessary with Beta 1.1 and there was no issues. I think it would be good to hear some feedback from Iobit on this issue.
  18. Hi Enoskype. I think the licence problem is caused by the fact that ASC v5 is uninstalled by v6 Beta 2, and so the registration/licence information is deleted. Then if you try and register it sees the licence as invalid. As happened to me. I think this will cause a lot of difficulty when the Final v6 is released.
  19. I agree with all you say TopPack, but unfortunately if it is for test purposes, it is still seeing the process as a normal Registration/Upgrade, and is therefore deducting it. Surely this should not be the case, particularly as the people installing the Beta are performing a leap of faith, in order to assist with assessment and debugging. It will therefore, I imagine, greatly upset the Pro users if they end up having to solve licence/registration problems, as a result of this leap of faith in and support for ASC.
  20. Performance Monitor Bug I have noticed a bug in the PM, which while not apparently serious may indicate a potential problem in the future. The bug is as follows: If you click on the Clean RAM Icon on the PM, it will clean the RAM, but then the information will remain beneath the Icon ( ie,. Memory Released xx bytes). However this information stays on the screen and remains highlighted. If you click on this Highlighted text and then move your cursor, the PM GUI will follow the cursor around the screen a few inches, then stay where it is. However if you pass the cursor over the GUI again it will jump around and try to follow the cursor. I am not saying this is a serious problem in itself, but it may indicate a potential weakness, and or even a problem with the RAM cleaning itself.
  21. I agree completely with ReadMeToo, regarding the the loss of registration for V5, when installing V6 Beta 2, and the need to re-register. This really needs to be sorted, as I can see a lot of very unhappy ASC Pro users who cannot upgrade because their licences are seen as invalid, having to wait while Iobit deal with each licence problem individually, when the final version of v6 is released.
  22. Logs and Backup: Emptied by V6 Beta 2 [solved] ["Logs and Backup: Emptied by V6 Beta 2 I have just noticed that when I updated to V6 beta 2 that the Logs file has been emptied. It was set to keep 20 logs, but the change to V6 Beta 2 has emptied the Backup Log. I am very concerned about this, particularly as I am now running a Beta and I have lost all history from my previous version of ASC. Please look at this issue as I am sure you did not intend for this to happen."] Iobit replied to this and explained that : "Please kindly note that only logs generated by v6 will be listed in v6 folder. To check the logs in other version, please go to %appdata%\Iobit." The logs from the previous versions are to be found there.
  23. v6 Beta 2- PM/PC Health Firstly may I say that the Beta 2 is performing extremely well and ASC is the best product on the market. However, I note, that the system health, is not shown when you are in Expert Mode. You must switch to Simplified Mode in order to see the PC Health. Additionally, the PC health is not shown on the Performance Monitor. I like the new PM, but I think the PC Health should also be shown, as it was on the previous PM. It is the PC status which the user needs to see most of all,, in order to address issues before they become a problem The PC Health should also be shown on the ASC Main screen regardless of which mode you are in. I hope Iobit will consider this suggestion for the next release.
