  1. My advice for IObit future products:

    1. Cut down the number of products. Having 4 or 5 IObit products installed on 4 or 5 different PCs, it can be time consuming trying to maintain and run all the programs on all the PCs. (Compared to CCleaner where you can just right click the recyle bin and select "run cleaner") I thought the unique selling point of Advanced System Care is that it would be a one-click solution to solving PC problems (hence the big care button). For future products, I think driver booster and smart defrag should be stripped down (interface wise) and included as toolbox modules in ASC8. Anyone who installs ASC8 would probably also want Smart Defrag and DriverBooster as well so I can't see the reason of having 3 seperate products when they could be all wrapped into 1.

    2. In the main ASC8 care screen, some of the modules (e.g. shortcut fixer, registry defrag, internet problems, security holes, disk scan, security defense) should be removed. I like to do a daily scan and I know you can uncheck these items if you don't want them scanned.... but I think those items would be more suited as toolbox modules in the toolbox center (along with smart defrag and driver booster modules) I would like a daily scan center and I feel some of those modules do not need to be check daily, not as much as the other ones (malware remove, junk file remover, registry fix, defrag)-So basically have a daily scan center with all thesessential everyday care modules, and all the less needed/occasional use modules in the toolbox center.

    3. Basically 1 product for performace (IObit system care) and 1 product for protection (IObit Malware Fighter).

  4. I had a problem, my webcam on my computer stopped working. After a few minutes I thought maybe the advanced systemcare's turbo boost caused it to stop working so I tried turning off turbo boost and the webcam started working again. Moral of the story, just keep turbo boost off, it disables too much stuff. Sometimes too much optimization can cause problems!

I think Advanced system care was better when it was just simple scan and repair like it was when it was Advanced Windows Care V2 Personal. I've been using IObit products since that time! (Many years) I can not imagine using a computer without it. It would be so slow! My recommendations for future products: Integrate SmartDefrag v4 into advanced systemcare 8. Like most other companies e.g. SystemMechanic have all the driver update, defrag and everything in 1 product. I think Smart Defrag (at least) and maybe Driver Booster should be included as toolbox modules in the new ASC8. Like ASC8 can now defrag multiple drives, all you need now is to add boot defrag option in the settings of asc8 under drive optimization. Smart Defrag completely integrated into ASC8.

    Hi kenny23,

Normally, it is not suggested to use High Performance Option in Windows, this mode means that the system will keep running with highest performance no matter whether your computer needs such highest performance. ASC power plan is more moderate and economical for ordinary users.

    Hope this will help you.8:)

So then what is the difference between windows balanced power plan and advanced systemcare's power plan?

  14. I use Turbo Boost and have my computer set to "high performance" power plan in power options. When I turn on turbo boost it asks if I want to use Advanced SystemCare power plan to boost performance. Should I use it or keep high performance option? What is the difference between windows high performance power plan and advanced systemcare power plan??

I think future versions of products should get rid of the "action center". Allow people to install what they want. The link to other IObit freeware within settings tab (like their already is in ASC) is enough. I find Action Center in ASC annoying as I don't want to install Startmenu8 or MalwareFighter. I use Classic Shell because it offers a classic start menu, which I prefer, and startmenu8 does not offer that. I use Malwarebytes Antimalware and it has saved my computer in the past so am sticking with it. Action center tells me to "fix all problems" but I don't want to. Should not force this upon users. No action center in final version of ASC8 please!

I also think it would be better if SmartDefrag and DriverBooster were included in Advanced SystemCare. Have 1 product for performance and a separate product for protection/security. It can get time consuming running each program separately. People just want a 1 click fix for their computers to speed them up. Installing and running all these programs separately is time consuming. Also having all products installed "litters" the start menu. Like all different IObit programs are scattered in different places in the startmenu - creates unnecessary clutter - would be better if their was a folder called IObit Software that linked to each program.

In ASC8 beta 1, I tried using ActiveOptimize and TurboBoost. I noticed a definite speed up in my PC even without having these settings on. My question is do I need to run ASC on startup so that activeoptimize and turbo boost are activated? I have ASC not to launch with startup as I don't want it to slow my bootup time. Is having activeoptimize and turbo boost on the whole time a good idea? I've already had a definite speed up of my PC even without using these 2 settings.

SmartDefrag 3 prioritize files is very slow. It annoys me - I run it and it takes ages. Finally when it finishes I run it again and expecting the 2nd time to run would be quicker, but takes nearly the same amount of time to finish as the first! Is it trying to move every single file into a better position?? That is unncessary. Even if my computer had 95% optimization level I would be happy. Trying to move every single file is too time consuming for no real performance gain. I expect SmartDefrag 4 will be faster and will only move files it deems necessary for better performance.
