Hi BC8320! Welcome to the Iobit forums!
ASC v6 Does not work with XP. When you try to use it, the UI just hangs after starting the scan process. I had to revert back to v5. This software is not ready for prime time -- sorry but there it is.It is unfortunate that you are having difficulties with ASC6 as it is XP compatable.
I bet a clean install will fix your problems. You will find the guidelines here and here.

I have to try and read the details without the use of the scrollbars. They are not there!! :roll:
@enoskype: The Registry Cleaner tool is not available in the free version. :cry:
As I don't have even ASC6 free or pro anymore but am concerned with the testing of ASC Ultimate which required the uninstall of 6 (and have only one machine)... this is very helpful and useful information to many members and visitors here. Thank you!!:-D

However, my anti virus etc has now started up again (lost it when I upgraded to Version 6??Look forward to seeing how the system works.

The download shouldn't take anywhere near that long considering all.(Majorgeeks is reliable, were you using the AUS node which is closest to you?). You may wish to see what your actual download speed is using this tool.

Enoskype is correct concerning the toolbox and a workaround.:-D
You can always revert to the earlier version.;-)
Using all the functions of ASC several times a day isn't advisable anyway. (even if carefully tailored within your settings it is certainly unnecessary)

UAC is a useful security for inexperienced users and users in an Enterprise, but always have been a nuisance to me starting in Vista and now worsening in Win 8.Yes!!! UAC is a huge pain in the a--!!:!::twisted:

I tried to Copy/Paste my paid pro license into the beta just to see what would happen...

I guess the Iobit betas are not open for testing anymore unless you pay? Now I have to uninstall this nonsense and reinstall my paid version5 pro!:-x
The only logical conclusion is that if you have a paid PRO ASC license, you cannot beta test. Surely this is a fault?

P.S. This is after it uninstalled my ASC5 PRO that I actually paid for last December! (I gave it permission assuming it would function).

Some of the utility programs in ASC should not be run at the same time as other programs are running or loaded in memory, such as the Browser.
Many people tend to forget that the Internet-Browser is just Another program and not part of the Operating-system.
Only a few of them could be safely activated from Browser.
So I think it would be a bad idea to run ASC utilties From the Browser, Sorry. :???:

I've run a lot of the freebies, which state everything is free until you get down to entering a credit card for the trial.I would like to see the beta in full program, so I could evaluate that, not a 10 percent portion. I don't fill out the credit info card. Of course we all like that "Try it free for 90 days", and then we have to keep it or cancel and then pay an early cancellation fee. HA$
Iobit has a solid track record on this. You will see the beta program released as non-beta eventually. Iobit doesn't ask for CC information for a trial (beta).

VivisClone is correct.
When you switch to "Expert Mode" does that make the scan automatically "Deep" like in ADV 5?Also When i do the driver Manger it doesn't find that i have out of date drivers, but when i run another program, "Uniblue Driver Scanner" It finds them, is there any chance of improving this? I would rather support IObit,
Agreed that the Driver Manager within the toolbox needs attention... as well as some of the other tools:shock:!

As Iobit is aware of this, unfortunately all we can do is wait for this issue to be addressed. I agree that a beta should be able to run alongside the previous stable release. Your question on the other thread "is there a reason..." remains pertinent and unaddressed. I expect that the changes within ASC 6 and 5 are such that you cannot have both on your system... why... that is the question. The licensing issue I hope will soon be resolved as well.

I'd like to be able to select programs that are current running to close when I click Boost. There are a number of iPhone helpers in the background and things like that which remain.This function is already available in GB. Use the configure button to choose what you wish to disable. I belive the add button will be useful for this as well.:-D

Please elaborate on the uninstall process you are referring to?
If you refer to the clean install guidelines then you will understand that the built in uninstallers don't always work as they should and require additional attention... this is across the board to all softwares. (some are better than others).So please elaborate.
