Game Booster Disabled Aero Theme, Now I can't re-enable it

I had a power out while Game Booster was running, and when I booted up my PC again Aero Theme was still disabled even though Game Booster wasn't running. I tried the automatic troubleshoot but it didn't work.

I've also tried the registry hack to force Aero but even that didn't work. Any help is appreciated, thankyou.

I do not use GB so can only stab (guess) at a solution. I'm sure others who are more fluent with GB will post.

 

Have you tried re-starting GB and boosting the exact way you had done before with the exact same game running and then exiting GB normally?

 

As a last resort you could restore or re-image to the most current point you have stored before the power outage.

I did try that but unfortunately no luck. It would be great if someone knows how exactly Game Booster goes about disabling aero, so I can attempt to reverse it.

I had this happen to me tonight during a lightning/thunder storm. After the power came back up, I just right-clicked on the desktop and went to personalize and chose a theme. It fixed it all up for me.

 

I don't know if that will help you, but it is good to know that you're not the only one that something like this has happened to.

Well this is strange. I ran Microsoft's 'Fix It' application to find the problem, and it says that my graphics card can't run aero. Even though nothing has changed hardware-wise since the power out.

How frustrating :/

Maybe you need to reinstall or update your graphic driver??

i had the same issue some days ago , but without using GB it just disabled my AERO theme without doing anything.I rebooted my pc several times and then i right clicked desktop and then use Personalize. I found the theme there again :)
