ASC6 Free issues after scan

After installing ASC6 Free,configuring the settings to my liking and running a scan I had problems...

A few of my programs would not start and I got error messages that said something like "cannot find" - "Dynamic Link Library missing"

It sounds typical problem of an install on top of an old version.

 

Please supply exact verbose information for us to investigate the problem.

 

I would suggest a Clean Install before discussing any further on that problem though.

Could it have something to do with Smart Defrag 2.6 boot time defrag ?

Could be!?!?

 

Please run chkdsk /f at Command Prompt with elevated privileges.

 

If you still have problems or not, try running sfc /scannow from "Run..."

Please also give us the content of main.ini usually located in xp in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\IObit\Advanced SystemCare (your version) if the chkdsk and the sfc /scannow or the Clean Install hasn't fixed the problem. (follow the clean install procedure to the letter please)

Some information is necessary to try to understand the problem. :-)

Be it the settings, the way you run the program or some screenshots that shows these things.

Have you placed anything in the ignore list - it can be found at the same address as previously mentioned.
