Slow response time when clicking on start

Slow response time when clicking on start. I saw a post where someone was saying it takes half a second to respond, well I have that beat, I just counted to 16 before mine would respond. sometimes a lot longer. But once it has been opened it responds instantly.This is on my laptop, desktop works fine. Is this something I can fix?

not working

 

I tried this newer one it also took about 16 seconds to open, so I tried classicshell, so far it opens in less than one second. thanks for trying.

Sorry for my late reply.

 

Please try this new demo as follows:

 

1. Please exit ( completely close) your current Start Menu 8. You can right click the icon of Start Menu 8 and click "exist ".

 

2. Please download the new Start Menu 8.exe from

 

http://wikisend.com/download/357204/StartMenu8.exe

 

3. Please right click on Start Menu 8 icon on desktop and then select Open File Folder. Then put Start Menu 8.exe that you downloaded in step 2 into the folder.

 

After that, please run Start Menu 8 again to see whether the issue can be solved.
