Also,people need to really stay away from Cnet/download.com...

 

At least Majorgeeks TELLS you when to expect ad/malware! My Host File List (one of them anyway),DOES list those two sites as Ad/Malware and so I don't even try to dl from there.

 

Majorgeeks I am happy with...as well as filehippo,Softpedia,Sourceforge etc. :-)

I have noticed that the above sites now use down load managers, which I believe to be malware or adware. They will also down load unwanted tool bars and chance your home page. I was just there and had to restore my PC with a back up image of my OS.;-) Major geeks is my preference.
