Secure File Deletion

Does this option apply to the Privacy Sweep as well as the Junk files which is where the setting is found? In other words, are the temp inet and index.dat files being securely deleted using the DOD standard or are they being deleted using normal methods?

i believe that option is for both privacy sweep and junk file clean. if you really are anxious to know the answer though, i recommend CCleaner for secure privacy sweeps.

Have you chosen the option of "secure" deletion?

And for all options? Also the recycle bin?

I think it goes for both types of files you mention.

But secure deletion is a big subject and very hard to achieve 100%.
