Malware Fighter Pro Latest version as of 5/3/2016 NOT removing cpvredirect.com from IE 11 in Windows 10. Help!

Recommended Posts

I've been using IOBiit Malware Fighter Pro Latest version on my Dell Inspiring 15 series laptop w/ AND processor for the last several years. I use EDGE as my default browser but every time Edge is running Internet Explorer starts and runs clicktrack.cpvredirect.com I've tried every manual method of removal that I can think of and Malware Fighter Pro keeps missing this virus. When I check on this forum I only find the listing of viruses that IOBIIT reports that it removes and in which database the virus is located. Search comes up with "Remove clicktrack.cpvredirect.com in database 1522" but doesn't explain where the database 1522 file is located or if it can be accesses or manually replaced if it's compromised. There are no instructions on how to manually remove the cpvredirect virus and if I want to uninstall or disable IE I'm warned that other features of browsers like Edge may be affected.

I've been able to block the virus in IE 11 latest version but each time Edge is used IE launches and keeps trying to access cpvredirect rather than either not launch or launch to another default location like bing.com.

I use all of the IOBIIT Pro products from the Advanced Systemcare Pro, Uninstalller, Smart Defrag Pro and Malware Fighter Pro version. 4 - all registered to me but am stuck on trying to remove this one virus. Are there any manual methods I can use with either Malware Fighter Pro 4 or manually in Windows 10 that was upgraded drop 8.3 with a touch screen? I purchased licences for three machines and am using them on two laptops including an older Dell Inspiron updated from Windows 7. The virus is in both laptops. Each machine was checked for compatibility with Windows 10 release 1511 (I am not sure about the touchscreen laptop which received upgrade instructions from Dell first. Please help me clean these laptops of this virus.

Hello and welcome to IOBit Forums. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.

2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.

3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.

4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.

5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.

6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.

7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

Thank you for the information. I have downloaded AdwCleaner, ran it twice and removed all files that it has found (and links to Internet Explorer found in the Registry). I am in Edge writing this reply to you at this moment and so far IE has not launched with the cpvredirect.com URL (IE has not loaded at all - only Edge is running) so at the moment I assume your advise was dead on. Thank you so much. I downloaded Junkware Removal Tool although I'm not sure this is needed with Windows 10 running as a log of the results was saved and the adwCleaner removed the registry information and any files it found. I am licensed and running the latest version of IOBit Malware Fighter Pro v. 4 which loaded and is protecting my latptop after a reboot. I noticiced that Windows Speech Recognition is loading again which stopped when the redirect virus was active. It may be possible that the virus was somehow associated to this application.h?Thank you again, very much for your help.

Sorry, but after saving the file log I can't seem to locate where I saved it. I will continue to look and attach and send it in a reply in a day or two unless I have further problems. Thanks again.

AdwCleaner continues to run while Edge is open. the following files are saved by AdwCleaner each time they are run along with a *.db file (database). There is also an error message reporting that "There is a problem starting c:\Windows\System32\LoiLDA.dll The specified module could not be found." I've attached both of the txt files that appear to have been saved when AdwCleaner was originally run. IE has not launched, but the error message appears. ?Can you suggest any additional information as I believe that AdwCleaner or Malware Fighter Pro is identifying a problem but has so far prevented IE from starting and attempting to be redirects. I suppose this is a win situation but not necessarily perfect.

Thank you in advance.
