First....I do not understand how you just installed Advanced System Care 5 . The latest version is Advanced SystemCare 13. Are you sure that it is Iobit software you have installed.

If it is actually Iobit Advanced SystemCare, then it is important to tell us whether it is Pro or Free version, as there are different functions available.

Most important.....ensure that you have NOT selected...Enable Deep Clean...option in Registry Clean settings. It is too agressive and can cause issues.

Yes....it is always advisable to have recent restore points so that you can undo any issues.

Do not use every scan option at once. Only scan items which are of use to you, and then do so two or three at a time in case any of the options cause issues.

I have the older software that i am using way back in my laptop/
