Smart Defrag

Recommended Posts

I have installed Advanced System Care 3.1.2 on two separate computers and in each case, the defrag siezes when about half way through.

On one computer it said that it would take 24 hours to defrag but, did not count down and siezed when the bar had reached about 30%.

On the other computer and after rerunning defrag, after a previously successful run, it said that the defrag would take 30 mins. When the bar had reached approximately 50% this computer also siezed.

hi dennis

I think the timing and the freezing/seizing are two seperate issues.

As you have probably seen in the forum the timing doesn't work properly.

This usually do not interfere with the defragmenting though.

Were the disks very fragmented prior to this?

How much space left %-wise?

Do you have large picture/video files on your volume(disk)?

How long did you wait?

Don't think about the timer - it's un-useable. Hopefully they will have that problem solved in the next version.

Cheers
