Registry Fix

Hi chipluon

Do you have any inkling as to why?

I have it set to run the deep scan every time, but no problem here.

Do you clean continuously or very often?

Cheers

Lately, when I run a deep scan with the registry fix, it takes longer than before, and freezes up. I uninstalled ASC 3 Pro and did a clean reinstall, but it didn't solve this issue.

Hi chipluon

Hard to say for me, I do not have any of those two security programs.

I think enoskype uses McAfee, but do not think he has experienced any trouble - at least I haven't seen him say anything about that.

Perhaps in the transition between the two programs??

Did you get Norton completely uninstalled - that used to be difficult!

If you find out - please give some feedback

Cheers

Hi Solberg

I ran the registry fix with deep scan daily without problems.

I have at&t dsl, and they switched from a Norton security suite

to McAfee. I wonder if that could have messed something up?

Hi chipluon64,

I do use McAfee Security as solbjerg mentions, and although it takes some time, it is not a problem for deep Registry fix scan of ASC 3, but generally any virus watch dog software, when protecting real time, should be a reason of slow Registry fix scan, as it would be doing the assigned job. All security software are the reason of slow registry scan and slow defragmentation.

Disable SystemGuards protection of McAfee when scanning and repairing with ASC 3.

As far as ISP (Internet Service Provider), did they install McAfee to your PC?

Or do they have it on their server?

Please give us more information of the procedure they have applied.

Cheers.
