Rising Free Antivirus

Recommended Posts

I saw it on cnet where Rising has gotten all good reviews.

personaly i havent tried it but wil probly try it out after my avira license expires. it still has full real time protection and antispyware which is VERY interesting. i recommend this one to detailer to try to get him off his avira addiction :lol:

its interface looks very easy to use so also to avast users :P

The differences:

1. Information centre service:

Rising Antivirus Free Edition has Information centre window in its main interface, and this window drive users get latest news of RISING. But Rising Antivirus 2009 paid version not;

2. Update Service:

RISING paid version product gets update through high speed update server each day, but Rising Antivirus Free Edition product does not;

3. Technical support:

RISING provides fast response technical support to each paid version product user; but the support to RISING free version product user may be limited;

4. Users buy Rising Antivirus paid version can get a Rising Firewall with same service life in FREE; but Rising Antivirus Free version users could not.

Rising AV

Thanks for the heads up IFP,but did you see this ? Looks likes it's almost as good as the paid version. I recommend it to you my little pal.I'm currently using F Secure's premium suite as it's included by my ISP. All this time it was available,thought I'd give it a try-I'm paying the same every month whether I use it or not.I'm backing it up with their Exploit Shield Beta v.4.0-no bugs so far.

yes i installed the avira 9 the first day it came out. im trying it on my old computer. works very well along with a pretty interface xD

take a look at this on demand comparison in february

avira is second place! OMG! Beaten by 0.1 percent LOL! but they tested version 8...

hopefully next test avira takes home the prize :)

fsecure only had 93.4 percent while avira had 99.7 percent and Gdata had 99.8 percent.

gdata got twice as many false positives as avira though.

haha kingsoft got 66 false positives
