hi, using windows vista 64 bit on my laptop and none of the smart defrag features work. i say to defrag and it starts, stops, then becomes idle.

Did you uncheck the "Stop defrag while using battery. (Recommended)" and Applied the option for your Laptop in Options of SD?

I just want to add that the most prudent course is to attach the power before running a defrag.
