Excessive CPU use; what's happening ?

Autodefrag is disabled; CPU-use about 15%.

When I open Smart Defrag, CPU-use is about 95% for about 3 minutes.

After that I can start a defragmentation.

What's happening and what can I do about that ?

Sounds like it could be a problem with windows updater 3.1

Try reading this link:

You could also try to update your updater :-)
